Who we are
Macopa is the controller for the personal data described here. Macopa is a registered trade name of Mahogany Ventures VOF, a general partnership established in the Netherlands and registered with the KvK under 90798856.

What this site does
Very little, which is deliberate. This website:
- sets no cookies of its own, and shows no cookie banner because it needs none;
- runs no analytics, no tag manager and no tracking pixels;
- makes no requests to third-party servers when you load a page — fonts are served from this domain rather than a font provider, and there are no embeds, maps or social widgets;
- runs no JavaScript in your browser, and has no form, account or login.
Our hosting provider may set a strictly necessary cookie to protect the site against automated abuse. It carries no analytics and is not used to identify you or to follow you between sites.
Server logs
Serving a page necessarily involves processing your IP address, which is personal data. Our hosting provider records standard technical information with each request: the IP address, the time, the page requested, the status returned and the browser's user-agent string.
This is used to deliver the site and to protect it against attack and abuse, on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping it running and secure. We do not use it to build a profile of you, do not combine it with anything else, and do not try to identify you from it. Retention is set by our hosting provider's standard log retention.
If you email us
We process what you send: your address, your name if you give it, and the content of the correspondence. We use it to answer you and, if we go on to work together, to carry out and administer that engagement — on the basis of our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries, and of performing the contract once there is one.
We keep correspondence for as long as it is needed to answer it and to manage the relationship it belongs to, and longer only where a professional, accounting or tax obligation requires it.
Who else is involved
- Website hosting and content delivery
- A content delivery network serves this site and keeps the request logs described above, acting as our processor.
- Email hosting
- An email provider established in the Netherlands hosts our
@macopa.euaddresses and stores mail in Dutch data centres, acting as our processor.
We describe these by category rather than by name, which Article 13(1)(e) permits. If you would like to know which providers they are, ask at privacy@macopa.eu and we will tell you.
We do not sell personal data and do not share it with anyone else, except where we are legally required to.
Your rights
Under the AVG — the Dutch implementation of the GDPR — you may ask us for access to your personal data, and ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or provide it in a portable form. You may also object to processing we carry out on the basis of legitimate interest.
Write to privacy@macopa.eu and we will respond within one month. Given how little this site collects, the answer to an access request is usually short.
Complaints
If you think we have handled your data improperly, please tell us first — it is usually faster. You also have the right to complain to the Dutch supervisory authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
Changes
If this statement changes we will say so here. We keep no mailing list, so there is nobody to notify.
