Macopa is a Netherlands-based infrastructure practice working with technology companies across the United States, Europe and Asia-Pacific — most often those bringing a service into a market whose rules they do not yet know.

How we work

Scoped before it starts
Fixed length and fixed price, agreed in writing before any work begins. If the scope turns out to be wrong, we say so rather than quietly billing through it.
Findings in writing
A document a management body or an auditor can read and act on, not a slide deck. Under NIS2 in particular, the board is accountable for measures it has to be able to show it approved.
We say what we cannot do
Where a matter falls outside the practice, we say so at the outset and refer it, rather than learning on your budget.

Credentials and coverage

The practice is led by a systems architect with two decades in platform engineering, including regulated and safety-critical environments, who maintains open source libraries downloaded more than 24 million times.

The firm has built and run engineering organisations in Asia-Pacific for over a decade, and its clients operate across the Americas, Europe and Asia-Pacific. That is why the cross-border work is not a stretch for us.

The firm

Macopa is a registered trade name of Mahogany Ventures VOF, a general partnership established in the Netherlands and registered with the KvK under 90798856. The same partnership also trades as Mahogany Ventures. The practice dates from 2022; its founders worked in their fields for more than a decade before that.

We are deliberately small. The people you meet in the first call are the people who do the work; nobody here sells an engagement that someone else then delivers.
